Born to John and Maggie Arbogast Heckadon on March 22, 1896. Andrew grew up to be a friendly, kind and gracious man.
Andrew married Louella Josephine "Jose" Campbell in 1917 in Bates Co., Butler, MO. To this union seven children were born: Wilma Marie; John Henry (Jack); Charles Leslie (Charles); Ernest Joe (Ernie); Juanita June (June); Robert Lee (Bob); and Floyd Wendell (Floyd).
Andrew worked very hard scooping out coal from the coal mines in Rich Hill, MO, contracting Black Lung Disease that resulted in his lung cancer death on February 6, 1961.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maggie Heckadon and one son, Ernie Joseph Heckadon.
Andrew was truly missed by numerous family members and friends. His wife, Jose died on March 16, 1985 and his children died on the following dates: June died on December 25, 1981; Bob died on February 3, 1988; Charles died on April 12, 2004; Wilma died on February 4, 2006; Jack died on April 14, 2007; and Floyd died on October 17, 2011.
