Pearl Victoria Kyker, d/o John Samuel & Martha (Smith) Kyker. She married Herbert Erwin Wilhite 4 Jun 1916 in Thorngrove, Knox County, Tennessee. She was a member of Thorngrove Christian Church.

Pearl and "Erv" Wilhite reared nine children: Arthur Lee, Carl Raymond, Harold Rex, Sherman Wm., Floyd Burl; four children are living Jan. 2001 - Nola Mae (Wilhite) Hancock, Imogene (Wilhite) Flattre, Ralph Boyd Wilhite and Billy Eugene Wilhite.

I have heard it said that neighbors use to sit out on the porch in the summer listening to my grandparents, Pearl & Erv. sing." I remember those beautiful voices -- Pearl's alto and Erv's bass -- standing behind me as a young child I would play one of their favorite hymns on the piano. PaPaw's "Softly & Tenderly" and MaMaw's favorite, Rock of Ages.
