Rose J. Propson, 75, of N7625 Cty. Hwy. G, Chilton, passed away on Saturday. Nov. 23, 1991. at the Chilton Village Nursing Home. She was born on March 14, 1915, in Charlesburg, daughter of the late George and Margaretta Daun Pethan. She married Gregor Propson on May 7, 1941, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton.
She attended St. Charles School and farmed with her husband in the Charlesburg area most of her life. The couple celebrated their golden Wedding anniversary in May this year. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg, the Christian Mothers, V.F.W. 3153 Auxiliary, Chilton Eagles 1288 Auxiliary, the New Hope Center Association of Handicapped People, and was a volunteer worker at the Salvatorian Mission Warehouse In New Holstein.
Survivors include her husband, Gregor; two daughters, Mary Lee Farmer of Poway, Calif.; Carol Propson of Chilton, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Etta Gruber, Hilbert; Martha Ecker, Stockbridge; a special friend, Lorraine Geiser, of Charlesburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Meyers, and three brothers, Henry, Roman and Leonard Pethan.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg, with the Rev. Paul Schulze S.D.S. officiating. Burial will be In the Parish Cemetery. 'Friends may call at the Wietlng Funeral Home In Chilton from 4 to 0 p.m., on Monday, and on Tuesday, from 7:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., when family prayers will be held. A VFW Auxiliary prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and an Eagles Auxiliary prayer service at 7:30 p.m., Monday evening, at the funeral home.
