--Longtime resident of Cass county. Services to be held Friday p. m.--
Mrs. Lucy Trent, aged 74, widow of the late William Trent, died at 2:45 a. m. Tuesday morning following an illness of several weeks. Services will be held at two p. m. Friday afternoon from the Lewis Congregational church with Rev. Ralph Pinkham of Ankeny, former pastor at Lewis, in charge of services. Interment will be made in the Oakwood cemetary.
Mrs. Trent was born in the state of Missouri April 14, 1874, the daughter of Albert and Mary Walter, and came to Cass county with her parents when she was a small child. She was united in marriage to William Trent at Atlantic, on April 28, 1891. They resided the remainder of their lives in Lewis where Mr. Trent was engaged in carpenter work and contracting. He passed away August 11, 1943."
