"Mrs. Martin (Sybil A.) Pulley, 84, of Sheandoah died Tuesday evening, January 27, 1981 at the Sheandoah Memorial Hospital. Due to failing health she had been a resident of the Garden View Care Center for the past three years.
Born at Lewis, Iowa, she and her husband moved to Shenandoah in 1928. She had cooked at the Elks Club a number of years when the lodge building was located on the corner of Elm St. and W. Thomas. She was a member of the Congregational Church where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Ed Cox will officiate and interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hackett Funeral Home...A memorial to the Congregational Church is being established."
