"Funeral services for Thomas W. Trent, 44, were conducted from the Morgan Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. by Dr. J. Irvine Walker pastor of the First Congregational church.
Richard Toedt furnished the music for the rites, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Vera Trevits Scheel.
Interment was in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Mr. Trent, resident of Newton for seven years, died Thursday evening at the Skiff hospital following a three weeks illness of the flu and complications. He and his son Jasper operated the Newton Glass Factory which they opened recently."
