George Tamagni Passes Away in San Francisco
Son of Supervisor Dies After Long Illness; Funeral in Calistoga Thursday
George Tamagni son of Supervisor and Mrs. Charles Tamagni, passed away at one o'clock this morning in a hospital in San Francisco after a long and painful illness.
The young man had been ill for about a year, suffering repeated attacks of illness and undergoing two operations. All that medical science could suggest for him was done, but to no avail.
Deceased was born in Knights Valley, Sonoma County, and was 30 years of age.
He is survived by a widow and an infant child, by his parents, and by seven brothers and two sisters.
The family has the deepest sympathy of hosts of friends throughout the county in their deep affliction.
Deceased had been a prominent and active member of Calistoga Parlor of Native Sons.
The funeral will be held in Calistoga at 2 o'clock next Thursday afternoon.
The remains will be taken to the family plot in the St. Helena cemetery for interment.

Death Claims George Tamagni, Son Of Supervisor Tamagni, in San Francisco.
Supervisor and Mrs. Charles Tamagni are receiving the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends because of the death of their son, George Albert, which sad event occurred in San Francisco, Monday, the 19th inst.
Deceased had been in poor health for a long time and had undergone several operations in the hopes of restoring his health. Just a year ago he was critically ill but recovered and it was hoped the improvement would be permanent, but about three weeks ago the young man was again taken seriously ill. Last Friday Mr. Tamagni took his son to a hospital in San Francisco where, on Saturday morning, another operation was performed, but in spite of the best medical skill, he did not regain consciousness and passed away Monday.
Deceased, who was the fifth child of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tamagni, was born at Kellogg, Sonoma county, June 29, 1902, and at the time of his death was aged 30 years, 5 months and 20 days. His early life was spent at Kellogg, where he attended school, until some fourteen years ago when his father purchased a ranch near Calistoga and the family moved there. He had made his home there practically ever since.
On April 22, 1927, deceased married Miss Mary Hughes, who, with one son, John Edward, born July 11, 1930, survives him.
Deceased is also mourned, by his parents and the following brothers and sister: Frank James, Charles Victor Jr., Elvin Mervin, Laurence Arthur, Theodore Forest, Walter Emile, Harry Henry, Miss Evelyn Vivian Tamagni and Mrs. Milton Wolleson.
Deceased was a past president of Calistoga Parlor of Native Sons, having been president at the time the new Calistoga high school was dedicated a few years ago.
The funeral was held from. the undertaking parlors of A. H. McArthur in Calistoga, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock under the auspices of Calistoga Parlor of Native Sons. Interment was made in the St. Helena cemetery.
