Johnny W. Blanton, 68, Colbert, Okla., died Tuesday, March 23, 1993 in Texhoma Medical Center in Denison.

Services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

A native of Oklahoma, he had been a Borger resident for 43 years before moving to Colbert three years ago. He was a retired Phillips Refinery employee. He was a Baptist, member of Masonic Lodge, and a World War II Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny A. Blanton in 1978.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa, a son, Perry Blanton of Fort Worth; two daughters, Kathy Wilson of Borger; and Patricia Kossey of Fritch; two brothers, John Brown of Pottsboro; and Allen Blanton, Jr. of Denison; a sister, Katherine Gryder of San Antonio; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Borger - Funeral services for Johnny W. Blanton, 68, Colbert, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Jim Fox, of Hobart Baptist Church in Pampa, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Mr. Blanton died Tuesday, March 23, 1993 in Texhoma Medical Center in Denison.

A native of Caddo, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 43 years before moving to Colbert three years ago. He was a retired Phillips Refinery employee. He was a Baptist, member of Masonic Lodge, and a World War II Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny A. Blanton in 1978.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa, a son, Perry Blanton of Fort Worth; two daughters, Kathy Wilson of Borger; and Patricia Kossey of Fritch; two brothers, John Brown of Pottsboro; and Allen Blanton, Jr. of Denison; a sister, Katherine Gryder of San Antonio; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Wilson, Tony Wilson, Clint McAnally, and Jason McAnally.

The family will be staying at 114 Ina Street.
