Waynesburg, Dec 9 -- Mrs. Elizabeth Nancy Adamson, wife of former Sheriff J.G. Adamson, died at her home on what was formerly known as the Smith Adamson farm in Morgan Township, four miles east of Waynesburg, Thursday, December 9 at 8:15 p.m.
Mrs. Adamson was born February 4, 1872, near Rogersville, and was daughter of William and Anna McQuay Hoge.
Besides her husband, she leaves the following children: Haddie, Decelia, Arthur, and Cinderella at home; Kenneth, Mrs. Marle Sargent, of Detroit; Alva Adamson, of Waynesburg, R.D. 6 and Homer Adamson, Waynesburg, R.D. and the following brothers and sisters; Samuel Hoge, David Hoge, William M. Hoge, Leslie Hoge and Jesse Hoge, all of Waynesburg, R.D.; Albert Hoge, of Oak Grove, Washington County; Mrs. Leo Scott, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Perry Moore, Waynesburg, and Mrs. Jennie Cook, of Sand Hill, W. Va.,
She was a member of the Holbrook Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 1:30 o'clock, Monday, December 12.

Mrs. Elizabeth Nancy Adamson, aged 65, wife of former Sherriff J. E. Adamson, died at her home in Franklin Township, four miles east of Waynesburg, Friday night, December 9, 1938, at 8:15 o'clock of complications following an illness of several months.
The deceased was a lifelong resident of Greene County and was born in Center Township, February 4, 1873, a daughter of William and Anna McQuay Hoge, deceased. Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Haddie, Cecilia, Arthur and Cinderella Adamson, all at home; Mrs. Marie Sargent and Kenneth Adamson, both of Detroit. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Samuel Hoge, David Hoge, William M. Hoge, Leslie Hoge, Jesse Hoge, Mrs. Leo Scott, Mrs. Perry Mooore, all of Waynesburg, and Albert Hoge, of Oak Grove, Washington County, and Mrs. Jennie Cook, of Sand Hill, W. Va. The deceased was a member of the Holbrook Christian Church.
While funeral arrangements were incomplete late last night, services will be held from the residence Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Additional arrangements will be made later.
