MARVIN DALE BEARD, Longmont, Co.
Marvin Dale Beard, 82, of Longmont, Colorado died May 18, 2012. Marvin was born August 21, 1929 to William A. Beard and Adelia (Looney) Beard of rural Truro, Madison County, Iowa, He attended school at Walnut #7, Truro and DeSoto, Iowa.
In 1947 the family moved to Elk River, Minnesota. He joined the army and was stationed in Colorado. He married Ellen Tinsley of Colorado Springs and they were married for 57 years until her death in 2007.
Marvin is survived by two sons, M. Dale (Mary Ann) and John (Joan) of Colorado, three grandchildren, a brother, Eldon, of Elk River, Minnesota and two sisters, Myrtle Reed of Eagle Grove, Iowa and Gladys Kohler of Winterset, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Orvetta, three brothers, Leo, Earl and Guy.
Grave side services and burial were held at Golden, Colorado.
