William F. Schaad Succumbs at 91; Has Zion Burial
_____ Canby Christian church deacons were pallbearers at Monday afternoon services for William F. Schaad, 91, resident of Aurora's Union Hill sector since 1954. He died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 9, in an Oregon City nursing home after having been ill since mid- December and hospitalized for a time. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Schaad was born in Germany Aug. 26, 1877, and had lived in Nebraska before coming to Oregon. He farmed at Newberg, as did two brothers who migrated from Germany, and was living in Molalla before he came to the Aurora area. His wife, Virginia, to whom he was married in 1946 in Vancouver, died Feb 28, 1964.

Eleven children born of a prior marriage survive: Gilbert and Stanley Schaad of the Aurora-Union Hill sector, Elsie Schaad of Vancouver, Wash., Roland of LaGrande, Mrs. Lawrence (Edna) Hightower of Eatonville, Wash., Harold Schaad of Fresno, Calif., Walter of Newberg, Larry of Pendleton, Mrs. Dean (Dorothy) Ford of Bend, Mrs. Thomas (Bernice) Worth of Jacksonville, N.C., and Col. Carl Schaad, U.S. Army, now in Bonn, Germany, until April. He also leaves 24 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Harold L. Dunson officiated at services in the Canby chapel of Everhart & Kent. Pallbearers were T. J. Anderson, Roy Bentz, Albert Berg, Curtis E. Johnson, Orville Adams and Lyle L. Read. Interment was in Zion Memorial park.
