“Edson Porter Jessop --- Cedar City --- Edson Porter Jessop, 61, died Sept. 25, 1980, in the Valley View Medical Center. Born Sept. 20, 1919, in Millville, Utah to Joseph Lyman and Winnie Porter Jessop. He married Margaret Hunter, July 25, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“His early life and education were spent in Northern Utah. He graduated from Salt Lake City South High School. He later became active in the development of southern Utah and northern Arizona. He was a city planner, member of the voluntary fire department and also a square dance director. He was active in the LDS Church.
