Obituary: Shirley Jessop Thompson
"Together Again"
Shirley Jessop Thompson, 62, returned to the arms of our Father in Heaven June 27, 2002, after enduring faithfully to the end in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Born the fourth of 13 children to Joseph Lyman Jessop and Beth Allred Jessop in Holladay, UT. Shirley loved her family and was neat and tidy. She was a wonderful organizer and an excellent record keeper. She married Joseph Blaine Thompson Dec 13, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1996. She is the mother of five wonderful children, Jenean, Rob, Jared, Nephi and Curtis Thompson and has 21 beautiful grandchildren.
A special thanks to her sister, Evelyn Thompson, for her constant tender loving care. Journal entry May, 2002: "Evelyn has really been an angel of mercy and I do love and appreciate her."
Thank you mom for your example, wisdom and may we become worthy to dwell where you are.
Services will be Mon. 2 p.m., Bluffdale 2nd Ward chapel, 14400 S. Redwood Rd. Friends may call Sun. 6-8 p.m., Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 S. 2200 W, and Mon. one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park.
