On Nov. 25, 2009 our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Beulah Johns Croft, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Orem Utah. She was born in Smoot to Vivian Alberta Staley and William (Bill) Johns on Jan 11. 1920.
Being the oldest of nine children, Beulah spent many hours helping on the farm and caring for her siblings until she graduated from Star Valley High School in 1937. Not long after her graduation, she met and married Edward gene Croft on May 20,1939. They were eventually blessed with a wonderful family of five daughters and one son. On Nov 7, 1957 the family was sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Ed and Beulah lived in Freedom most of their married lives, where Beulah began working for the U.S. Forest Service and continued for the next 20 years. After her transfer to Provo,Ed and she eventually sold their property in Freedom and moved to Orem, Utah where they resided for the past 32 years.
Beulah has always served faithfully in many leadership positions and had a wonderful testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was known for her hard work and dependability. She was very talented and found great joy in baking, doing handwork and gardening. She readily shared her talents with her friends and family. Beulah was a great caregiver and often administered to those sick or in need.
Beulah was a wonderful mother and is survived by her children Karma Hyde; July (Farrell) Brown; Joan (Larry) Sessions; Lyn Leavitt; Kevin (Roylence)( Croft; Kathy (Paul) Carter; 28 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; and her siblings, Roland Johns; Thea DeGroot; Dale Johns; Earl Johns; and Genevieve Allred.
