OWENSBORO MESSENGER INQUIRER OBITUARY - 03/20/1975

Mrs. Helen Marie Payne, 51, of Route 2, Philpot, died yesterday [March 19, 1975] at her home after a short illness. Born in Daviess County a daughter of Casper Mattingly and the late Bernadette Millay Mattingly, she was a member of St. William Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Surviving besides her father are her husband, Charles E. Payne; two sons, Edward Darrell Payne, Philpot, and Joseph Charles Payne, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Billy (Judy Ann) Oelze; a brother, C.F. Mattingly, and two sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Jean) Horn and Mrs. Charles (Audy) Aull, all of Owensboro; and three grandchildren.

Arrangements were incomplete at Delbert J. Glenn Funeral Home.
