Casper L. Mattingly, 89, of Knottsville, died Tuesday, March 7, 1989, at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital. He was born in Knottsville, was a retired farmer, and was a member of St. William Catholic Church. His wife, Bernadette Mattingly, died in 1958. Survivors include a son, Charles F. Mattingly, and two daughters, Catherine Jean Horn and Mrs. Charles (Auty) Aull, all of Owensboro; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Pauline Aull and Leah Robey, both of Owensboro, Helen Abel and Cecilia Callahan, both of Louisville, and Kate Dishman of Detroit, Mich.; two half brothers, Joseph E. Mattingly of Knottsville and Gene Mattingly of Louisville; and a half sister, Nannie Mae Higdon of Owensboro. Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. William Catholic Church, Knottsville. Burial in St. William Cemetery. Visitation after 2 p.m. today at Glenn Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today.
