GLENN FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY - 2001
Charles "C.F." Mattingly, 70, of 665 Danberry Street, Owensboro, died Thursday, July 5, 2001 at his home. He was born February 24, 1931 in Daviess Co., KY, the son of the late Casper & Anna Millay Mattingly. Mr. Mattingly retired as supervisor from Yager Materials after 41 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and camping. Survivors include his wife Wilma Zimic Mattingly; a son, David Joe Mattingly of Owensboro; three daughters, Violet Higdon, Linda Sweat and Lori Hall all of Owensboro; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Mattingly will be 11 a.m. Saturday July 7, 2001 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, officiated by Father Pete Hughes. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. His family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. Friday July 6, 2001 and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Prayers will be 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice Association Inc., 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301-9979.
