Born in North Carolina, March 5, 1896, he was the son of Riley and Jane Dowell Beamon. He had lived in West Virginia for 40 years.
He was a member of the Little Bluestone Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Hattie: a son G.W. Beamon of Roderfield, and three daughters, Mrs. Martha Eldridge of North Fork, Mrs. Laura Hendrix and Mrs. Grace Elliott both of Austin, Texas.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Little Bluestone Primitive Baptist Church with elders A.L. Neely and Owen Harvey in charge. Burial will proceed in the Vest Cemetery at Jumping Branch.
The body will remain at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton until time for the service.
