Gerrit Van Otterloo, 71, of 419 Hazel Ave., died at Holland Hospital this morning following a three-year illness.
The Van Otterloo family came to Holland in 1926 from Rock Valley, Iowa, and have lived here ever since.
He was a member of the Third Reformed Church.
Survivors are his wife, Gertie; five daughters. Mrs. Theda Holkeboer, Mrs. Stella Steffens, both of Holland, Mrs. M.J. Tinholt of Grand Rapids, Mrs. P.J. Van Kolken of Grand Haven, and Mrs. W.W. (Verna) Loy of La Jolla, Calif.; one son, Stanley of Holland; two brothers, John and Herman of Rock Valley, Iowa; a step-mother, Mrs. Stephen Van Otterloo of Sioux Center, Iowa; a half brother, Peter Van Otterloo of Grand Rapids; and a half sister, Mrs. Henry Ter Haar of Sioux Center, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Nibbelink-Notier Funeral Home with the Rev. Christian Walvoord officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Friends and relatives may visit the funeral home on Friday between 4 and 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
