Grace Ter Haar, 89, of Sioux Center died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at the nursing wing of Sioux Center Community Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30p.m. Thursday at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with the Rev. Arnold Punt officiating. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. today, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Vander Ploeg Chapel in Sioux Center.
Mrs. Ter Haar was born Nov. 18, 1908, in Rock Valley, Iowa, the daughter of Steven and Pieterje (Porma) Van Otterloo.
She married Henry Ter Haar on Feb. 20, 1929, in Sioux Center. He died Oct. 4, 1990. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald of Sioux Center and Donald and his wife, Irene, of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter and her husband, Helen and Roger Bolks of Sioux Center; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Phil; a great-grandchild; a brother; five half brothers; and a half sister.
