Russell Brian "R.B." Cunningham, 92, of Waco, went to be with his Lord Wednesday Oct. 21, 2009. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. James Adams and the Rev. James Berger officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Bellmead Funeral Home.

Russell was born in Murray, Texas, to the late L. Russell and Clara Mae (Battles) Cunningham. On July 10, 1937, he married Ethel "Mo" Latimer. He served in the U.S. Army in Manila in the Philippines during World War II. He was a Trim Carpenter at William Cameron Company for 38 years until retiring in 1981, and was a member of Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church since 1958, where he served as a Deacon. Pampa, as he was affectionately called by those who loved him, was a skilled craftsman and has left his family with many precious memories and handmade gifts. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Ethel "Mo" Cunningham; twin sons, Vernon Cunningham and wife, Barbara, and Velton Cunningham and wife, Darlene, all of Waco; grandchildren, Randy and Tammy Cunningham, Mark and Jerri Cunningham, Bobby and Cindy Cunningham, Diana and Mike Crosby, Sarah and David Donaldson, and Janeen and Kenneth Rape; 14 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Stalsworth of Waco; brother, Virgil Cunningham, of Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.
