Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis (Olga) Ambers, 62, will be held in the Viking Lutheran Church on Friday, 17 Jun 1966 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. E. A. Stousland officiating. Interment will be in the Viking Cemetery in block 3 plot 67. Mrs. Ambers passed away on 12 Jun 1966 in the Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, ND where she had been hospitalized for several weeks. The Wheeler Funeral Home of Maddock is in charge of arrangements. Olga Josephine Simonson the daughter of Soren and Clara Simonson, was born on 30 Jan 1904 in the Viking community in Wells County, ND. She attended public schools in the Viking area. On 6 Jun 1924 she married Lewis Ambers in Fessenden, ND. The couple has always resided on a farm in the Viking area, with the exception of the last two years when they retired with a daughter in Vancouver, WA. They returned to North Dakota in April of 1966. Mrs. Ambers was a member of the Viking Church and its ALCW. Surviving are her husband, Lewis; children, Stanton Ambers of Hamberg, ND, Mrs. Hilding (Lila) Alfstad of Sheyenne, Kenneth Ambers of Wilmington, CA, Mrs. Clarence (Clarice) Fossen, Lawrence Ambers, Judal Ambers, Mrs. LeRoy (Vionne) Finch and Alvern Ambers both of Vancouver, WA, one sister, Mrs. Orville (Hazel) Vinnard of Heimdal, one brother, Clarence Simonson of Maddock, 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Lester Ambers and Ray Ambers and one daughter, Alvina and one brother, Henry, one grandchild, Steven Ambers son of Stanton and Doris Ambers.
