With the passing of Mr. Haskett the community loses one of its best citizens and a man, who despite the fact that his time was occupied bu many matters, devoted every spare minute to improvement of the community in which he lived. He was one of the ardent supporters of the Sandbank Christian church northeast of Tipton, was superintendent of the Sunday school there for many years and was county superintendent and district secretary of the Sunday school organization. Following the death, the body was taken to the Leatherman Funeral Home for preparation and lay in state there until Monday afternoon when it was taken to the home to lie in state until the hour of services. The funeral will be held at the West Street Christian church in Tipton at 2:00 Tuesday afternoon and burial will follow in Fairview cemetery.
Rev. Russell Sifred former pastor at Sandbank, will conduct the services and will be assisted by Rev. Earl Schwyhart, present pastor at Sandbank.
