Mr. Haskett was a native of this
county, born here April 21, 1861,
being the son of Elisha Haskett, one
of the pioneers of the county. Some
of the earlier years of the deceased
were spent in Rush county, where
he worked as a boy, but since he
was seventeen years of age he had
been a resident of Tipton, working
at various employments until the advent
of the Citizen Gas company
when he took employment with that
concern and held the position until
incapacitated by affliction.
He was united in married to Miss
Emma Davis, September 4, 1884,
There were four children born to
this union, three living at this time.
The children are, Mrs. Rev. Kreiger.
of Renton, Wash., a suburb of Seattle,
Misses Cleo and Mildred, both
at home.
H.C. Haskett, east of the city, is
brother and Rix Haskett, in the
same community is a half brother.
The half sisters are Mrs. J. M. Hoover,!
of Kokomo, Mrs. Nellie Nicholson,
of Tipton and Mrs. J. M. Woodruff,
northeast of the city!
