OBITUARY:
Mrs. Erhart Koehler, 76, passed away at her Kiel home at 4:20 p. m. Saturday, following an extended illness.
The deceased, nee Anna Stemper, was born March 5, 1873, at Port Washington, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stemper. She was married to Erhart Koehler in 1892 in the town of Charlestown, Calumet county, and the couple operated a farm there until his death in 1933. A year later Mrs. Koehler moved to Kiel.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Edwina Pautz, who made her home with Mrs. Koehler; two sons, Jerome of Kiel, and Ferdinand of Charlestown township; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Theresa Schaefer of Chilton; six sisters, Mrs. Anton Roeder of Kiel, Mrs. Barney Voight of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. John Hass of Barton, Mrs. Albert Koller, Mrs. Barbara Weyker, and Mrs. Henry Metter, all of West Bend, and three brothers, Nick Stemper of New Holstein, John Stemper of Kiel, and Ed. Stemper of Fredonia.
Her husband and one stepdaughter preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic church, Charlestown, and the Christian Mothers' society of that church.
Funeral services will be held at the Meiselwitz Funeral home, Kiel, at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday, and at 10 a. m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church, Kiel. The Rev. F. X. Kheil will officiate, and burial will be made in St. Martin's cemetery, Charlestown. The body will lie in state until time of services.
