BRIDGEWATER - The Rev. John Titus Glick, 98, died 11:15 p.m. Friday (March 9, 1979) at his home, 115 Broad St.

A son of Joseph M. and Diana Margaret (Miller) Glick, he was born April 2, 1880 in Bridgewater. He received an AB degree from Bridgewater College in June 1915 where he was a professor from 1916-1922. He also attended Northwestern University.

He was a member of the Church of the Brethren and was ordained a minister of the church in 1904. He served as pastor in Timberville from 1922-1930 and conducted evangelistic services in nine states. He served on the Board of Trustees of Bridgewater College since 1939. He and his wife were named outstanding alumni of Bridgewater in June 1951. He was a farmer from 1930-1956.

On June 15, 1915, he married Effie Evers who died June 29, 1968.

Survivors include 11 children, Dr. Wendell P. of Duluth, Minn., Victor E. of Rt. 2, Bridgewater, Dr. John T. Jr. of Broadway, Dr. G. Wayne of Bangor, Maine, Dr. Elizabeth Glick-Rieman, of Bridgewater, Donald L. of Port Republic, Margaret V. Glick Hunkins of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Dr. Joseph of Harrisonburg, Dawn Glick Phibbs, of Hudson. Ohio, Ruth Glick Welliver of Roaring Spring, Pa., and Stanley G. Glick of Christiansburg; 47 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one brother, J. Paul Glick of Waynesboro.

Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Summit Church of the Brethren by the Revs. Allen Pugh, G. Wayne Glick, Elizabeth Glick-Reiman and Dewey Fleishman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at Lindsey Bridgewater Funeral Home but will be moved to the residence, at 10 a.m. Monday. It will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 this evening.

The family requests that contributions be made to the Memorial Fund of Bethany Seminary in care of Donald L. Glick, Port Republic, 24471.
