Services for Mary Elizabeth Pinion, 91, of 204 East 6th Street in Caruthersville, who died Oct. 11th at the hospital in Hayti, were held Oct. 13th at 4 p.m. at the Dean Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alan Vancil officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 2nd, 1887 in Osceola, Ark., the daughter of the late Charles R. and Elizabeth Feltz Pierce. She was the wife of the late Dr. Dayton D. Pinion, whom she married in 1910 in Caruthersville.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Ralph D. Pinion of Caruthersville and Dr. John R. Pinion of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Joyce Estes of Yazoo City, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Thweat of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Jessie Meade of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. D. Ben Holly of Cooter, and Mrs. Allie Bowman of Caruthersville; two brothers, Fred and Bob Pierce, both of Caruthersville; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
