Jane was born to Andrew and Margaret Robson of Aspatria, Cumberland, England. It was a large family of twelve children born to the couple, they raised a niece, a nephew, and Margaret's younger son born before her marriage. As the second oldest girl, Jane was probably a big help to her mother and probably close to her older sister, Annie.

Jane's parents migrated from England in 1885 taking many of the children. Jane followed two years later with her sister, her sister's husband, and their children. The eventually met up with Andrew and Margaret in Nebraska.

By 1892, they settled in a home Cedar County where Jane married Tom Mumberson, who was born near their home in England. Jane's mother had witnessed his parents wedding.

Andrew and Margaret had moved to Antelope County to Orchard. Jane and Tom moved to a town near-by.

I have no details about Jane's life. I do know the family members were close, getting together often for birthdays, holidays, and many other events. A family reunion was started, especially after several members of the Robson family had married into the Ross family. That tradition runs to this day.

Jane is buried in Orchard Hill Cemetery near her husband. Her cousin James W. Robson, parents, daughters and at least one son-in-law are also there.
