Mrs. Pike, 90, Former County Resident, Dies
Nichols Mrs. Matilda Pike, 90, former resident of Pike township, died at her home in St. Paul, Minn., at 6:30 a.m., Thursday. She lived in Pike township until a few years ago when she left to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Delia Smith, at St. Paul.
She was the daughter of Emanuel and Mary Kile. She was born Oct. 1, 1849, in Fort Wayne, Ind. She was married to Albert A. Pike Feb. 3, 1870, at West Liberty, la. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are one sister, Elizabeth Berthard of Chicago, and six children, Frank of Aurora, S. D.,Mrs. Delia Smith of St. Paul, Mrs. Annetta Mills of West Liberty, Will and Charles of Nichols, and Clarence of Minot, N. D.; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The body is at the Kirchner's Funeral home in Nichols. Burial will be in the Nichols cemetery. The time of burial is indefinite.
