Frank Albert. Pike, 74 years of age, of Aurora, Illinois died Monday, December 7, at his home after being in poor health for many years. Funeral services were held in the Aurora Methodist church Thursday afternoon with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. H. H. Arms officiated at the services.
Mr. Pike was born on January 22, 1871 at Nichols, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Hattie A. Mills on July 31, 1890, and to this union two sons were born, Frank A., who was killed in World War I, and Delbert of Brookings.
In 1914, the family moved to Wisconsin where he engaged in dairy farming and in 1916 moved to Aurora where he entered the hardware business. Mr. Pike left this business in 1918 to engage in farming. Mrs. Pike died in 1920.
He was married to Mrs. Grace Schmidt in 1923 and to this union four children were born. They were Gail Francis, Chauncey Eugene, Morris, all of Aurora and Loris of the U. S. army now station in Korea.
He is survived by his wife, five children, three brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren besides other relatives and friends.
