William Pike and Bertha Hazen were married November 23, 1904 at Nichols, Iowa. After Bertha's death in 1942, William married Aminda Blanche (Carlisle) Hines sometime after her husband died in 1945.
William Pike has two memorials since he is listed on the stone with his 1st wife at St. Mary's Cemetery, and also on the stone with his 2nd wife, in Nichols Cemetery.

William E. Pike Rites Conducted

Nichols – funeral services were held here today for William E. Pike, a life-resident of this community.
Mr. Pike died at 10 a.m. Saturday at his home. The widow survives.
Funeral rites were conducted at 2 p.m. at the Nichols Christian church. The Odd Fellows were in charge of services at the grave.

Final Rites for William Pike Held at Nichols

Nichols – final rites were conducted at 2 P.m. Monday at the Nichols Christian church for William E. Pike, 77, a life-long Nichols resident who died Saturday at his home here.
Graveside services were in charge of the Odd Fellows. Arrangements were made by the Snider Funeral Home, West Liberty.
Mr. Pike was born Aug. 15, 1879, in Nichols.
Surviving are his second wife: one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Heuvelman, of Muscatine; one brother, Clarence Pike, of Monto, N. D.; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
