Annetta Mills, Longtime Local Resident, Dies
Mrs. Annetta Mills, 106 1/2 East Second street, died at 12:30 a.m. today in Mt. Pleasant. She had been a resident of Muscatine for the past 70 years.
The daughter of Albert and Mathilda Kile Pike, she was born Aug. 26, 1875 in Audubon county, Iowa. She married Amos Mills, Oct. 17, 1892 in Muscatine.
Survivors include two brothers, Will Pike of Nichols, and Clarence Pike of Minot, N. D.; one sister, Mrs. Art Smith, St. Paul, Minn.; two grandchildren, Earl Solbrig and Richard Meier of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one grandson.
The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Neil Parmer, pastor of the Mulford Congregational church will officiate. Burial will be in the Nichols cemetery.
