On June 12, 1898, Sylvia married Ephriam Jessop was the son of Thomas Jessop and Eliza Jane Humphreys. He was born in Millville and attended school there.
Immediately after their marriage, Ephriam left for an LDS mission to the Southern States; and Sylvia worked at the dairy to keep him on his mission.
After he returned, they set up housekeeping in the back rooms of the store owned by Sylvia's father. They farmed in Pocatello Valley and later bought an irrigated farm in Millville. In 1922, they moved to Logan.
Sylvia worked at the knitting factory for ten years. They instilled in their children the desire for a good education. Sylvia worked for many years as the Yeates Family Genealogist.
Their children are: Ephriam Donald, Beatrice, Ruthford Yeates, Howard Valentine and Gladys.
