Roy Valentine Rainbolt, 74, 1708 Lester Harris Road, died in the
Memorial Hospital yesterday evening after having suffered an
apparent heart attack earlier in the week ..
Mr. Rainbolt was retired building contractor. He was a native of
Butler but had been a resident of Johnson City for the past 19 years …
He was a son of the late John M. and Elizabeth Shupe Rainbolt …
He was a member of the East Unaka Avenue Baptist Church …
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Lona Snyder Rainbolt ; one son,
Warren G. of Washington, D. C. ; two daughters, Mrs. Nina Carbine
of Chattanooga and Mrs. Gladys Cox of Oak Ridge ; two brothers,
McKinley, of Butler and Dewey of Johnson City ; three sisters,
Mrs. Donnie Berry of Butler, and Mrs. Bessie Wilson and Mrs. Winnie
Dillon, both of California ; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews ..
Appalachian Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements …..
