John M. Rainbolt , 71 , died at his home in Butler Thursday ….
Funeral services were conducted from the Cobb Creek Baptist
Church this afternoon at two o’clock with the Rev. Powell
Forbes officiating ..
Interment was in the Butler Cemetery ….
Survivors are the widow ; four daughters, Mrs. Dannie Berry,
Mrs. Bessie Wilson, Mrs. Winnie Garner and Mrs. Ola Hollaway ;
three sons, Ray, McKinley and Dewey Rainbolt ….
Active pallbearers were F. M. Matherly, Sherman McQueen,
John Davis, Earl Lipford, Claude Lipford and W. B. Timms ….
Those acting as flower bearers were Dorothy Grindstaff,
Geneva Grindstaff, Irene Gentry, Dorothy Gentry, Eliza Lipford,
Wyona McQueen, Kate Smith and Marjorie Moore …..

Just found a correction for John Miller Rainbolt on Family Search Pilot. 1870 Johnson Co. TN. Head, Matilda Rainbolt age 44. (She was the wife of John H. Rainbolt (1825). Children living with her at the time were. Mary J. age 16, Victoria age 14, Valentine age 11, Caladonia age 9 and very faint print is John age 6 (1864).
