Dewey H. Rainbolt, 72, 2107 Kipping Street, died late yesterday in the
Veterans Administration Hospital after suffering injuries in an accident
in which he was struck by an auto three weeks ago …
He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of WW I with service in the Army..
Rainbolt was a native of Carter County but had lived in Johnson City most of
his life …
Rainbolt was the son of the late John M. and Elizabeth Shupe Rainbolt and a
member of the Baptist Church …
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Norma Ferguson, Johnson City ; one
brother, McKinley Rainbolt, Butler ; two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Dellea and
Mrs. Bessie Wilson, both of Grass Valley, California ; four grandchildren and
three great grandchildren ; several nieces and nephews ….
