Memorial Visitation were held for Mr. Eli Prudhomme, age 83 on Thursday, April 6, 2017.

Mr. Eli passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at residence in Opelousas. Mr. Eli was born and raised in Opelousas, LA. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his service, he returned to St. Landry Parish and developed a Dairy Farm. He developed the Pipe liners Union Local 692 where he was a Stewart and retired. Following his retirement, he started a dump truck and backhoe service, Twin Star. Mr. Eli will be remembered as an avid motorcyclist who had a great passion for riding which he did well up into his seventies. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his two son; step-son of Oakdale; daughter of Mire; nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife the love of his life, Velma Sue Prudhomme and his parents, Eli and Hazel Prudhomme; his 12 sibilings, Chef Enola Prather Prudhomme, Chef Paul Prudhomme, Elden Prudhomme, J.C. Prudhomme, Clavin Prudhomme, Malcolm Prudhomme, Able, Prudhomme, Bobby Prudhomme, Ralph Prudhomme, Darilee Broussard, Allie Fontenot.
