Mrs. Lila P. Bringaze, 83, of 530 S. Walnut St., died at 12:54 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital.
Born in Oskalusa, Iowa, Mrs. Bringaze was the daughter of Patrick and Mary Ellen Ryan Lawless.
She married Eugene Bringaze in 1923 in St. Agnes Church, and he died in 1978.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene, in 1926.
Mrs. Bringaze was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Surviving are one son, Eugene A. Bringaze Jr., of Sioux City, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marian) Heid, of Springfield; Mrs. George (Lila) Rabbitt, of Afton, Mo.; and Mrs. Walter (Barbara) Asbury, of Belleville; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Lawless, of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
