Patrick Lawless, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 1923, at the family residence, 1802 South Springfield street, of complication at the age of 71 years.

Surviving are his wife, Mary E.; five sons, Thomas, at home; John, of Riverton; Moran, Ben and Lawrence , of Chicago; five daughters, Mrs. Nellie Stevenson and Mrs. W.S. Dagen, of Springfield; Miss Marie Lawless, of Chicago; and the Misses Anna and Lila, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Baratrigger, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Mrs. Mary Houston, of Trenton, N.J.; and Mrs. Catherine McGuire, of Longwood, Meade county, Ireland; two brothers, Thomas and John, of Trenton, N.J.; and ten grandchildren.

Remains were at Kirlin & Egan's undertaking establishment and later or the residence where funeral services were held and at St. Agnes' church.

Interment was in Calvary.
