MRS. SARAH J. SWITZER DIED LAST NIGHT

One of the oldest and most highly respected women of this county, Mrs. Sarah J. Switzer, passed away last night at 11:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Tucker, northeast of town.

Mrs. Switzer was in her 91st year having been born in Illinois (sic) October 24, 1825, and her death was due to old age. While she has been failing for some time, her last illness was only of a week's duration.

In early womanhood she was united in marriage to David Switzer, who passed away over 37 years ago. She leaves one sister, Mrs. Nancy Lee of Auburn, and one daughter and one son, Mrs. Elizabeth Tucker and Owen Switzer, of this city. Five children have preceded their mother in death.

Nearly all her life has been spent in Iowa and many friends will regret to learn of the death of this good woman.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 from the Tucker home in charge of Rev. Keesey, and the remains will be interred in the family cemetery nearby.
