John Regan
John Regan, for many years a resident of this town, died Wednesday night at the home of his son, Jerry Regan in Willow street. Funeral services were held at St Mary's Church on Saturday morning and the body placed in the vault in St Mary's cemetery.
Mr. Regan was the son of Jerry and Katherine Lyons Regan and was born in Ireland March 28, 1835. He came to this country as a boy. In this section, he first located in Brasher, after a short time, removing to Colton and later to Potsdam. He married in Colton in 1856, Mary Ward. Mrs. Regan died about two years ago.
Surviving are five daughters; Mrs. Sylvester Ames of New York; Mrs. Auchinlow of Schenectady; and the Misses Mary and Margaret Regan of Staten Island; and Miss Loretta Regan of this place. Four sons also survive, they are Jerry of this village, John and James of Dillon, Montana and Michael of Buffalo
