Mary C. Ragan
Miss Mary C. Regan, 87, a retired school teacher, died Friday, Jan. 12, in the Potsdam Nursing Home. The funeral was held Monday, Jan. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Garner Funeral Home and at 11 at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Msgr. William Argy, pastor, officiating. Spring burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Miss Regan is survived by a niece, Mrs. Philip (Marian) Barisciano, Staten Island, who is also her adopted daughter; a brother, Michael Regan, Lockport; nieces and nephews. She was born Nov. 5,1895 at Colton, daughter of John and Mary Ward Regan. Educated in Potsdam Central schools, she was graduated from Potsdam Normal School and taught in the New York City school system. She retired 25 years ago from the McKee High School in Staten Island. Since her retirement she had lived at 41 Clinton St. Miss Regan was a member of St. Mary's Church and of the Altar and Rosary Society.
