JOHN E REGAN DIES IN WEST
Potsdam - Word has been received here of the death of John E Regan, 77, formerly of this area, in Sidney, Montana on Saturday. The body will arrive in Potsdam, this week, and will be taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Sylvester Ames in Clinton Street.
He was born in the town of Canton on September 11, 1896, son of John and Mary Regan.
He attended Clarkson College and graduated from the State Normal School in 1904. Regan later taught in school in the west and also operated a ranch. A number of years ago, he returned east and owned a farm at Oxford for 14 years, going back to Montana 6 years ago.
His wife is the former Helen Clark of Montana.
Beside his wife, he leaves four sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Ames and Miss Mary C Regan both of Potsdam, Mrs. John Auchencloss and Miss Margaret Regan both of St. George, Staten Island and two brothers, James of Potsdam and Michael of Lockport.
