The news of the death of "Jerry" Regan came as a distinct shock to his multitude of friends. Mr. Regan had been in failing health for some months, but had been able to be about almost to the hour of his death. Sunday morning, Mrs. Regan, hearing a fainting call, responded but in time to catch Mr. Regan in her arms as he slumped in death.
Jeremiah Regan was born in Colton on August 23, 1869 to John and Mary Ward Regan. He has lived in Potsdam for over forty years. Some years ago he drove a sales wagon for A. L. Lockwood. More recently, and for many years, he has conducted the farmers' sheds on Willow Street.

Jerry Regan will be mourned by a host of acquaintances. Optimistic, kindly, a real neighbor, always ready to lend a helping hand, he was one of those whom, whatever their station in life, are greatly missed in death.
The funeral mass was at St. Mary's Church on Tuesday morning at 9:30 am. Rev. Father T. J. Mahoney officiating, assisted by Father Gallagher. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The pall bearers were Dr. W. J. Baldwin, Messrs L. Lagona, George St. Dennis, Jacob Clough, Fred William and J. C. O'Brien.
