Harold E. WALTERS, 65, .R.R. 1, Akron, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn hospital. He had been ill one week. Born April 8, 1905, in Fulton county, he was the son of Charles and Medea HOLLOWAY WALTERS. His marriage was May 24, 1930, in Fulton county to Irene McGRIFF. She died May 15, 1970. A retired farmer, Mr. Walters had lived most of his life in Fulton county and was a member of the Former Sandhill Methodist church and the Akron Jonah club.
Surviving are his father, Charles [WALTERS], R.R. 5, Rochester; two daughters, Mrs. Steve (Kathryn) HARTZLER, R.R. 1, Akron, and Mrs. George (Jean Ann) DEATON, Bourbon; two sons, Lloyd [WALTERS], of Akron, and Herschel [WALTERS[, of Rochester; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edith OVERMYER, R.R. 5, Rochester; Mrs. J. W. (Bernice) CUMMINS, Rochester, and Mrs. Ann DeMARCO, also of Rochester; two brothers, Ernest "Bud" WALTERS, R.R. 5, Rochester, and Elmer WALTERS, New Haven, Ind.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist church of Athens. The Rev. Wayne JOHNSON will officiate. Burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the Foster & Good funeral home today and until 11 a.m. on Tuesday and at the church one hour prior to services. The family has requested that memorials other than flowers be made to the Heart Fund.
