Robert Collins who was a paitent
at Franklin Memorial Hospital was
taken to the Veterans Hospitalat
Togus on Friday where he passed
away on Sunday. Funeral services
will be held at the Baptist Church on
Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock.

ROBERT LESTER COLLINS

Robert L. Collins of Rangeley died
Sunday, Jan 21, at the Veterans Hos-
pital, Togus, where he had been for a
few days. He was born in Mercer, Oct.
21 1894, the son of Elmer snd Annette
Collins. He married Una Nile Rowe,
and is survived by his wife, a step son
Edgar Rowe, and a step daughter,
Mrs. Robert Moulton. He also leaves
five sisters, Mrs. Alma Clements, Mrs.
Bessie Decker, Mrs. Ella Pressey, Mrs
George Hamlin, and Mrs, Alice Hall,
all of Farmington Falls and vicinity,
and two brothers, William Collins of
Farmington Falls and Walter Collins
of Massachuetts.
Mr. Collins served thirteen months,
twelve of the overseas, in the World
War. entering the 303d Machine Gun
Battalion, and afterward belonging to
the 76th Division. He was a member
of Rangeley Lakes Post American Le-
gion and a member of Rangeley Free
Baptist Church.
Funeral services was held at the
church, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. C.
F. Frederich officiating. Bearers were
members of the American Legion.
