Nicholas Klauck Dies After Heart Attack Sunday
Nicholas Klauck was suddenly stricken with a heart attack on Sunday morning, and died a few hours later.
Mr. Klauck was born at Mequon, Ozaukee county, in 1869, and in 1891 was united in marriage with Christiana Baivier of New Holstein. They located on a farm in the town of New Holstein, and 40 years ago moved to this city, where he was employed at the Kiel Wood Ware Company for many years. In 1941 they had the honor of celebrating their golden wedding anniversary.
Mr. Klauck is survived by his wife; four sons, Raymond and Isadore of this city, Edmund of Milwaukee and James of East St. Louis, Illinois; three brothers, Henry of Withee, John of Sheboygan, Benjamin of Milwaukee, and Frank of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Grott of Cleveland, Mrs. Mary Meinert and Mrs. Margaret
Hein of this city, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church, with burial being made in the church cemetery. On Tuesday evening the rosary was recited at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Herman Lettenberger, Walter Klauck, Hnery Spettel, Frank Muehlbauer, Joseph Escher and Charles Hartmann.
The following from away attended the last rites: Ben Klauck, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baivier, Arthur Baivier, Clarence Baivier, Mrs. Mae Bonness, Mrs. Lizzie Gruell, Edward Zylka, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zylka, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Maier and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Card of Milwaukee; Mrs. James Millay, Miss Minnie Hertel, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hertel, Thomas Hertel, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Hertel and Mrs. Andrew Groh and family of Chilton; Frank Stattler and Lieutenant Lawrence Stattler of Clintonville; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stahl, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Grott, Mr. and Mrs. John Klauck, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schnur of Sheboygan; Henry Klauck of Withee; Mr. and Mrs. George Klauck, Mrs. Robert Richter and Joseph Walsdorf of Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grott and daughter Agnes of Cleveland; Mrs. Barbara Groh and Roland Groh of St. Nazianz; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schwartz of Meeme; William Guetzloe of Manitowoc; and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Klauck and Mrs. Adolph Burns of New Holstein.All the living brothers and sisters were able to attend, and the pallbearers were members of the Holy Name Society.
