Charles died in 1937 at age 66, reportedly of a stomach cancer, according to his second son (3rd child of 5), Mark Covington Nosler, veteran of World War II, a U.S. Navy cryptographer who served in the South Pacific, and, was also an attorney from Boalt Hall, Berkeley, CA.
His children were:
-Charles Edgar "Ned" Nosler Jr 1906 – 1978
-Katherine Ann "Kassie" Nosler (Rutherford) 1908 – 1996
-Mark Covington Nosler 1910 – 1989
-Robert James Nosler 1916 – 1940
-Margaret CAROLINE Nosler (Holcomb) 1919 – 2004
