Abb Abbott, aged 65, passed away Saturday, February 19, 1983 at the Wayne County Hospital. He was born March 17, 1897. The family wants to express their deep appreciation for the love and support they received during his long illness, especially to Dr. Roberts, who never failed to come when he was called.

He is survived by five daughters, Marie Troxell, Lena Burks, Kay Bowling, all of Monticello, Sue Owens of Louisville, Grace DeLong of Union, Kentucky, two sons, Joe Adams of Monticello and Glen Abbott of Norwood, Ohio, two granddaughters he raised, Glenna and Donna Abbott, four sisters, Ina Elam, Lona Butler, Cora Keith and Ardell Wills, three brothers, Arlen, Beuford and John W. Abbott.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 21 at 200 pm at the chapel of the Hickey Funeral Home with Brother Ray Soard officiating. Burial was in the Alexander Cemetery.
