On November 3, 1956 she united in marriage with her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Ray Bowlin Sr., who passed away January 10th, 2013. To this union three children were born: Kenny Ray Bowlin Jr., who precedes her in death. Debbie Bowlin Large and her husband Scott, and Linda Bowlin Adkins.
Also surviving are her grandchildren: Chad (Brittany) Adkins, Sherry (Jordan) Chriswell, Lindsey Large and Chris Large; great grandchildren: Kinsley M. Kay, Deacon Chriswell, Thomas Chael and Brooklyn Adkins; and her sisters: Lena (Jack) Burks and Grace (Ralph) Baker with many nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn her passing.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Kenneth Bowlin; son, Kenny Bowlin Jr.; daughter-in-law, Margie Poore Bowlin; her parents, Leean and Albert T. " Abb " Abbott; brothers, Glenn and Joe Abbott and sisters; Marie Troxell and Sue Owens.
She was a very strong Christian lady who worked and went to church until her health would not allow her to go. She kept her faith reading her Bible and watching preachers on TV. She and Kenneth ran a furniture store for 40 years, ”Bowlins Used Furniture”, she loved all their customers. She loved to help people; she would rather give than receive. Mary was ready to go home to her Heavenly Father.
